Phenomenal women

The exhibition entitled Phénoménales, translated into Slovak as Phenomenal Women, by contemporary French artist Anne Plaisance, prepared in cooperation with the French Alliance Košice, is part of the international project Wonder Women Now, an art project for the emancipation of women that addresses the issue of domestic violence around the world.

Through Phenomenal Women, Anne Plaisance explores the heroic stories of women and children who have survived domestic violence and transformed their traumatic experiences through their strength and resilience. The exhibition invites you on an immersive, multi-sensory journey that combines various artistic disciplines, such as photography, painting, installation, and survivor testimony, to create an engaging experience.

Anne Plaisance’s works in this exhibition give voice to survivors and encourage reflection on the power of resilience. The artist uses her work to embody hope and emancipation, creating a space for healing through art. Phenomenal Women invites the public to not just remain spectators, but to become part of this journey of rediscovery and healing.

The exhibition contains works that may shock visitors. It is not recommended for persons under 15 years of age.
