Long Night of Museums is postponed

18 May is the annual International Museum Day. Usually, on Sunday closest to this day, Long Night of Museums takes place around the world.

It was supposed to be so this year, too, on 16 May. Unfortunately, COVID-19 crisis hit the world, closing museums and galleries temporarily. Therefore, Slovak Union of Museums suggested postponing the event until 14 November 2020.

Hence, Long Night of Museums in Košice will not take place on 16 May. Instead, it will take place on the proposed day of 14 November 2020 in the hopes that by then, the crisis will subside and everybody will be able to enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of night tours.

Do not fret about it, however – some museums in Košice are already open, and others are expected to open next week. If that is still not enough for you, museums’ and galleries’ websites are full of virtual tours, and activities to brighten up your free time.

Moreover, you can look forward to various quizzes on our Facebook page to bring a piece of museums right to your home.

See you on 14 November!
