There are various ways to spend your night in Košice. Let’s see which one suits you the most!
1. Street Food Corner, Úsmev Cinema
Quality street food, great drinks and chatting with your friends and locals - that’s Street Food Corner on Kasárenské námestie. Delicious hot-dogs, mouth-watering loaded fries, special Mexican cuisine and exotic drinks and craft beers make great companions at wooden tables located in from of the oldest preserved cinema in Košice, Kino Úsmev.
2. Tabačka Kulturfabrik
If you long for some music, language café, film screenings or lectures, head to Tabačka. This independent cultural centre offers a large variety of activities, outdoor sitting, wonderful meals as well as special local drinks (like draught Vinea - a sweet bubbly grapey drink).
Košice is well-know for its love of wines. So if you’d like to try Slovak wines, there are many places to go. Villa Cassa at Pri Miklušovej väznici 2 offers over 800 types of wine from Slovak and foreign winemakers. At Porto Coffee & Wine you can taste wine along with delicious cakes and other snacks. Other vinoteques in the city centre you can try are Vinotéka Löffler, Barrique Burger and Enoteca Centro.
Having a beer might be the easiest thing to do in Košice. There is a pub or a brewery in every third house in the city center, hence, we recommend visiting the Beer, wine & bars section on our website to learn more.
5. Clubs & discos
After a good meal and some drinks it’s good to shake them off. If you like to do that by dancing, you can find upbeat music at Jazz Club on Kováčska 39, Retro Cult Club on Kováčska 49, or Boba Bar on Južná Trieda 2 (behind Hotel Centrum).
BONUS: Collosseum Club
Collosseum is a place everybody knows but only few people talk about. It is located behind a secret door and the road to the club is dark and mysterious. (so here’s the exact location). However, it’s well worth the try.
6. A slice (or two) of pizza
Many of us get hungry in the middle of the night. Therefore, if you find yourself in need of food, head to Big Pizza on Hlavná 65 open 24/7 , or Pizzalino on Hlavná 105 open until 5 AM. If you crave French fries, Massimo Street-Food on Biela 1 is open until 11 PM.
